working out

So work has eaten into my workout time. Which I dont like, but I will live with for now. I'll just have to find the time, and learn to pick when I sleep so I'm not so exhausted all the time (have i mentioned that graveyard shifts suck??).

So I'm about 5kgs off my ideal weight and about 8 off my 'happy' weight. I've dropped about 5kgs and 4% body fat in the past month so thats awesome. I just want it to go faster. I've worked up to doing 1.2kms running on the road and about 3km on the treadmill (4.5 if I do interval training instead). With my shoulder having been royally screwed for a while I've dropped the weight i've been lifting down and started to climb again. My favorite exercises (for various benefits and reasons) are: Cleans, Dead lifts, Bent over Rows, Australian Pull Ups, Dead Bug Crunches, Mountain Climbers, Dumbbell Swings, Turkish Get ups, Explosive Squats, Squats to front kick, Lunges with a twist, Incline Bench Reverse Crunches, Pike on the ball...

Okay so there are a few.

But the worst thing is I feel like I'm starting from scratch AGAIN. Its depressing. I really really really loathe my body right now and I loathe myself for losing discipline. I don't feel strong anymore, I don't feel fit. I feel lazy and fat and its gross and disgusting. But its OK, once I decide something nothing else gets in my way of getting it.

At least I'm spending Christmas alone (again) this year so I can ignore the whole Christmas feast thing (or people telling me to eat more, urgh) and just workout like its a normal day.

i so hear yah on the feeling out of shape, fat and lazy=( cause of papers and exams in the past month and a bit, i have been force to put training on hold. and i have had my face in books for WAY to long. lol i'm more looking forward to the holidays for the family gathering... but i'm dreading the weight i know i'm going to gain =S being acadian... during the x-mas holidays we tend to do a LOT of eating of the good old "stick-to-your-ribs" variety. lol

and i have to wait till after x-mas to start busting some serious ass to get back into shape lol

ah i guess I'm lucky in the sense that I live in the sub tropics so food here tend to be light all year round. I tend to conform to a pretty tight Asian style diet. Its more the fact that between having my shoulder busted and my hip wrecked, my workouts have become less intense.

At least we both know we can get back into shape easily and know how, we're at least 3 steps ahead of everyone else. lol.

hahaha sooo true. and yah being injured sucks soooo bad. and its true lol some of the advantages of being an athlete lol. after x-mas i plan on getting into the water and doing some swimming, so that will help a good amount to get back into shape lol. but still, boooo to being injured lol.

lol i know right? I should take up swimming. I am such a water baby that I find it hard to swim laps though. Its the only reason why I never tried to be competative in the water. I keep meaning to hit the ocean this summer but I haven't had time.

haha yah its the finding times to go to the pool to get the laps in that was what kept me from it this term... i'm hoping that next term will be a bit better for the time. lol and being competitive in the water is my specialty lol. competitive swimming is what i did for 14 years :D lol USED to be one of the best in my province... once upon a time lol

almost everyone I train with was a competative swimmer at some stage. I was always a hockey/soccer/volleyball/basketball kind of competitor when I was younger. But mainly I've always been a martial artist.

haha nice, and yah us swimmer tend to like to train haha. i have only been in martial arts 4 years, so i'm still quite young to that particular scene lol. for some reason i want to call you the "vet" right now haha.;)

haha :P its funny I've had people older then me call me things like that. but I've had so much time off from my open hand stuff that I'm taking it back to basics again and making sure everything is still good. Bag work and drills are killing me, but I love it so its all good.
